What Strain Is Head Cheese?
Is Head Cheese Indica Or Sativa?
Head cheese is a sativa-dominant hybrid strain (60%Sativa/40%Indica) created with high THC levels and a low CBD content. Not for the faint of hearted. The name “head cheese marijuana strain” comes from the fact that this bud has an incredibly strong effect on your head, which makes sense given its genetics. Developed to have a strong body high while also providing the user with a cerebral feeling to keep them focused throughout the day. Can be used in the morning or afternoon as it tends to keep you awake while also providing a relaxed body sensation. Head Cheese Strain Info:
The lineage is a cross between strains 707 headband and uk cheese cannabis strains bred by Polaris, a cannabis cultivator located in Las Vegas, NV.
GENETICS:
- Headband and UK Cheese
APPEARANCE:
Medium in size, round shaped, dense buds with orange hairs and a frosty layer of white trichomes crystal resin. The green nugs are covered in rich purple leaves.
FLAVOR PROFILE:
The taste is similar to its aroma; it has a pungent, sour flavor that is complemented by an aged cheese overtone.
SMELL:
It smells like grapefruit and skunk when you break open the nuggets. Head cheese offers a woody aroma with notes of citrus, pine, and musk. The scent comes from its terpene profile, which contains high levels of limonene and pinene. These are found in other varieties like Super Lemon Haze and Sour Diesel.
Head Cheese Strain Effects:
Effects of head cheese are heavily cerebral, with a mild body high. It begins slowly, creeping up on you as you feel your head begin to tingle. After about 20 minutes, the high will pick up and take over your mind, making it feel like everything around you is moving at half speed (or so it seems). This can be disorienting for some users who are not accustomed to this kind of feeling. Lasts for around 2 hours before fading away into a mild relaxation that can last up to 4 hours Dry eyes and dry mouth are negative side effect so have some eye drops and drinks ready.
MEDICAL BENEFITS:
Often used to treat symptoms associated with chronic pain, including headaches and muscle spasms. It has been shown to help with appetite loss and vomiting caused by chemotherapy treatments or other health conditions. Not recommended for use by people who have anxiety disorders or schizophrenia due to its tendency to cause paranoia and anxiety when consumed in large doses. These are suggestions and are not intended as professional medical advice.
GROW JOURNAL:
Cannabis seeds can be grown indoors and outdoors with soil or hydroponics. You don’t want it too hot or cold—a temperature between 75 and 85 degrees Fahrenheit will work best. Make sure that your room has plenty of air and light so that the plant doesn’t get too dry or humid. You’ll need at least 10 hours of direct sunlight each day if you want to produce an abundance of buds. The flowering period is 9-10 weeks and an outdoor harvest time coming in mid October. Growing head cheese seeds yields twenty one ounces per square meter indoors and an outdoor harvest of twenty four ounces per plant. We advise consulting the cannabis community for more grow tips.
